Cook Position at Spice7 Authentic Indian Restaurant

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be asked to perform a variety of functions.

Position Available: 1

Wage: $22.00 per hour for 40 hours/week

Term of Employment: Full Time, Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Location: 6251 Yew Street, Powell River, BC V8A 4J9

Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of Secondary (high) school

Work Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of work experience as a cook.

Job Duties:

  1. Plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
  2. Clean kitchen and work areas
  3. Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef
  4. Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  5. Order supplies and equipment
  6. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  7. Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  8. Manage kitchen operations
  9. Cooking and handling of food
  10. Train staff in preparation
  11. Inspect kitchens and food service areas
