Job summary

M and K Group of Companies Inc. O/A Tollers Bistro is seeking a Cook to join our Lacombe kitchen. The successful candidate will prepare and cook meals, plan portions, manage supplies, and train staff as needed in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Position is permanent full-time and on-site in Lacombe, AB, with evening and weekend shifts. Relocation costs are covered by the employer. Requires English, 1–2 years of experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Determine the size of food portions and costs.
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
• Order supplies and equipment.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Clean kitchen and work areas.
