Our client, a full-service law firm located in North Vancouver, is seeking a recent LAA graduate to join their team and support their busy solicitor team, specifically focusing on their residential real estate practice. This is a great opportunity to develop your legal career in a close-knit and dynamic team environment.

Benefits & Perks:

  • $50,000 - $60,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
  • 3 weeks’ vacation.
  • Opportunities for growth within a small, growing firm
  • Stability and a steady flow of work
  • Social events such as summer and Christmas parties, as well as hikes throughout the year
About the Opportunity:
The candidate will focus primarily on residential real estate, though experience in commercial real estate is a plus. While the role will involve basic steps in conveyancing initially, the goal is to become fully capable of handling transactions from start to finish over time. This position requires flexibility and in-person work as you will need to occasionally meet clients and handle in-office tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, revise, and finalize letters and legal documents
  • Organize and prepare documents for execution
  • Communicate with clients professionally, set appointments, gather information, and provide updates
  • Handle administrative tasks such as file organization, opening and closing files, maintaining a bring-forward system, and invoice preparation
  • Liaise with external parties, including other law firms, government agencies, and service providers
  • Contribute to the development of firm processes and legal templates for solicitors
  • Assist with the overall smooth running of the real estate department
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an LAA/Paralegal, ideally with a focus on residential real estate
  • Successful completion of an LAA certificate or diploma from an accredited institution is an asset
  • Proficiency with legal software such as Word, BC Online, LTSA, Econveyance, and Esilaw
  • A strong team player with the ability to adapt and be flexible in a busy, fast-paced environment
