Job summary

Kruger Products Inc., a longstanding Canadian manufacturer, is seeking a Level I Operator for its converting line. You will operate and adjust equipment safely, perform changeovers, and help drive quality and throughput in a fast-paced production setting.

Reporting to the Line Centric Team Operations Leader, you will participate in training, support safety programs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Post‑secondary education in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Technician fields OR
  • A High School Diploma / GED with relevant hands‑on experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliability, adaptability, and a strong team mindset

Responsibilities

  • Follow all workplace health, safety, and regulatory procedures.
  • Use PPE at all times (steel-toe footwear, hearing & eye protection, cut resistant gloves, bump cap).
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas that meet facility standards.
  • Complete hourly quality and production reports accurately.
  • Ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment or process issues promptly.
  • Operate and adjust converting line equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Set up and maintain core production machines and auxiliary systems including wrappers, case packers, case sealers, palletizing robots.
  • Use overhead cranes and lift‑assist devices safely.
  • Monitor machine performance and help optimize throughput and product quality.
  • Perform machine changeovers as required by production schedules.
  • Ensure changeovers are completed safely and efficiently within set time standards.
  • Make basic mechanical/operational adjustments to support smooth start‑up.
  • Participate in required training and cross‑training opportunities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Demonstrate readiness to grow toward Level III responsibilities.
