Job summary

CenterLine Windsor Limited is seeking a Controls Integration Specialist to design and program PLC/HMI solutions or robots, integrating equipment and ensuring safety compliance. The role involves collaborating with build teams, testing machines, and supporting installation at customer sites across Canada and the USA.

A College diploma or University degree in Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering, Computer Programming, or Mechatronics is required, with willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Design, develop and integrate PLC/HMI applications in Rockwell or Siemens software environments.
• Integrate advanced devices (vision, drives, nut runners, printers, etc) into systems.
• Configure safety devices and safety PLC logic according to industry standards.
• Robot programming and integration across major brands.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement PLC/HMI applications in Rockwell or Siemens environments.
• Integrate devices (vision, drives, robots, printers).
• Configure safety devices and PLC safety logic.
• Program robots across brands (Fanuc, KUKA, ABB, Yaskawa, Nachi).
• Develop robotic processes (Spot Weld, GMAW, MH, Dispense).
• Configure and test communication protocols (Ethernet, Profinet).
• Collaborate with build teams to remove integration roadblocks and meet timelines.
• Participate in machine tryouts before shipping and after installation.

What we’re looking for

• PLC Programming:
  • Design, develop and integrate PLC/HMI applications in Rockwell or Siemens software environments
  • Integrate advanced devices (vision, drives, nut runners, printers, etc)
  • Configure safety devices and safety plc logic according to industry standards

OR

• Robot Programming:
  • Commission and program robots across various brands (Fanuc, KUKA, ABB, Yaskawa, Nachi)
  • Set up and development of robotic processes (Spot Weld, GMAW, MH, Dispense)
  • Configure safety parameters and safety IO using robot safety software
• Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols (Ethernet, Profinet, etc)
• Develop logic and process solutions for custom applications
• Collaborate with build teams, removing integration roadblocks and adhering to timelines
• Participate in machine tryouts before shipping and after installation
• Contribute to team building through knowledge sharing

What you need to succeed

• College diploma or University degree related to Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering, Computer Programming, Mechatronics
• Experience and specialized skills will yield a higher starting wage
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong focus on customer values
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada AND travel to the USA
• Flexible to travel to customer sites
• Able to work overtime to accommodate project timelines
