The opportunity
Join our dynamic team at Hitachi Energy as a Controller! In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Service Business Unit Manager to develop innovative business models and optimize financial performance within our factory/site. Your expertise will support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data, evaluating various business alternatives, and recommending the most appropriate solutions. You will drive the definition and implementation of standards and business-specific guidelines in financial control processes, contributing to our strategic goals and continuous improvement.
How you'll make an impact
Develop and implement business models to optimize financial performance.
Monitor, analyze, and interpret financial data to support decision-making.
Translate strategy into actionable business plans with measurable targets.
Oversee business planning and forecasting processes.
Evaluate financial implications of strategic decisions and recommend actions.
Drive cost structure optimization, productivity, and capital efficiency.
Assess business risk exposure and define mitigation strategies.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to support strategic goals.
Your background
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis and business planning.
Proven track record in developing and implementing business models.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in risk management and optimization strategies.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
