Job summary

GardaWorld in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Controller/Dispatcher to be the central contact for security operations, monitor activities, dispatch guards, respond to incidents, and ensure timely communication between clients, field staff, emergency services, and management.

This role requires calm under pressure, critical thinking, and strong communication. Benefits include GardaWorld Academy training, flexible schedules, full-time and casual opportunities, and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• As authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid Alberta Security License.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Minimum 1 year of dispatch, controller, call center, or security operations experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotational shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong computer skills with experience in data entry, report writing, and digital record management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security operations and maintain constant awareness of activities across assigned sites.
• Dispatch security personnel to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and service requests.
• Receive and respond to calls from clients, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• Communicate effectively with security guards, supervisors, emergency responders, and management teams.
• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, access control systems, and other security technologies when required.

As a Controller/Dispatcher, you will be the central point of contact for security operations, monitoring activities, dispatching guards, responding to incidents, and ensuring timely communication between clients, field staff, emergency services, and management. You will play a vital role in maintaining safety and operational efficiency across multiple sites.
