The Controller is responsible for the financial management, reporting, and controls of the organization, with leadership oversight of Finance, Human Resources, and Payroll. This hands-on role leads project accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, compliance, and financial controls, while providing financial analysis and insight to support business and operational decision-making. • Leads financial close, reporting, and construction/project accounting, including WIP schedules, revenue recognition, and project profitability
• Owns budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making
• Manages cash flow, banking relationships, credit facilities, bonding/surety, audits, and tax compliance
• Provides leadership oversight of Finance, HR, and Payroll functions, including staff development and succession planning
• Drives continuous improvement of financial systems, ERP/job-cost reporting, and process automation

Qualifications:

The main qualifications for this role include:

• Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably including construction industry experience
• Hands-on experience with construction WIP schedules and month-end close/reporting
• Strong background in job costing, project accounting, and revenue recognition
• Prior experience managing accounting staff
• Payroll oversight experience
• Banking, bonding, multi-company operations, and process improvement experience is an asset

How You Will Be Rewarded:
