Harris is currently looking to hire a Controller. The ideal candidate for this role has their professional accounting designation, a strong analytical mindset, experience leading and managing teams, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

As Controller, you will be part of the Harris finance management team and will provide financial support and analysis that directly impact a Business Unit’s success. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead a team of finance professionals, oversee the month, quarter, and year-end close process, and work closely with operational senior leadership as their trusted business advisor.

This position is remote; however, Harris has offices across North America for candidates interested in working from an office either permanently or part-time.

What Will Your New Role Be

• Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely completion of monthly financial reporting
• Performing technical accounting analysis under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Analyzing, summarizing, and presenting financial results to senior leadership
• Supporting decision-making through analyses for senior leadership
• Managing, coaching, and mentoring a team of finance professionals, including CPAs and CPA candidates
• Reviewing software contracts for revenue recognition under IFRS 15, including supporting schedules
• Coordinating audit requests and responding to queries during quarterly reviews and audits
• Assisting the M&A team with finance due diligence and overseeing financial integration of acquisitions, including valuations and accounting entries

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in an accounting or finance environment
• Experience building relationships with direct reports and stakeholders

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Familiarity with IFRS reporting
• Experience in an accounting firm or software company
• Project accounting experience
