As an Entreflow Controller - CPA, you will work directly with our fabulous clients, oversee an amazing team of accountants and be responsible in the following:

Financial Management & Accounting

• Oversee day to day financial operations, month end bookkeeping for various clients to a strict schedule, ensuring high level of consistency and data accuracy
• Support the Entreflow CFOs with analysis and recommendations
• Optimise and standardise client files to automate the bookkeeping
• Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships grow and develop
• Provide strategic financial guidance that facilitates decision-making and goal crushing
• Ensure the seamless onboarding of new clients

Compliance & Reporting

• Run, present, and analyse monthly financial reports for your clients in the monthly Financial Management meetings
• Create, manage and monitor budgets, forecasts and KPIs
• Ensure team adherence to internal financial controls, including the timely and accurate completion of month-end close processes, recommend and implement improvements
• Perform monthly file reviews in preparation for the monthly Financial Management meeting, identifying areas for improvement or risk mitigation
• Ensure sales tax is managed effectively; work with tax specialist to ensure year ends are completed efficiently
• Ensure third party reporting to stakeholders is managed effectively

Team Leadership

• Provide advice and troubleshooting where possible on various client accounts
• Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Monitor the capacity of your team, assigning out new client files accordingly and coordinating with the sales team

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business,
• Canadian CPA designation, is a must
• 5 years of Canadian full cycle accounting, with a minimum of 2 years as a controller, combination of public practice and industry experience an asset
• A willingness to constantly learn, self-motivated, collaboratively focused
• Fanatical attention to consistency and detail
• A passion for excellent client service
• Tech Savvy (Experience using QuickBooks Online and/or Xero cloud accounting software an asset)
