Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll administration across all branches. The Controller will report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure accuracy of all accounts payable and receivable.
2. Prepare and analyze weekly cash flow.
3. Complete bank and credit card reconciliations.
4. Update quarter-end spreadsheets and book journal entries.
5. Assist CFO with year-end financial reporting.
6. Process and file monthly HST / GST.
7. Handle Human Resources responsibilities.
8. Prepare bi-weekly payroll.
9. Maintain WCB clearance with all Atlantic provinces.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
2. Knowledge of project billings and holdbacks is an asset.
3. Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
6. College Degree in Accounting required.
7. Previous experience with Ceridian is preferred.
8. Knowledge of Sage50 is preferred.
