Job summary

Millennium EMS Solutions Ltd. seeks a senior financial leader to drive budgeting, forecasting, and governance across the organization.

You will partner with the VP of Finance to shape strategies, analyze operational initiatives, and lead the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and control compliance. You will oversee accounting processes, automate core activities, and optimize ERP systems, delivering dashboards and insights to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with VP of Finance to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Lead financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, forecasting and long range modeling.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate annual external audits and act as primary liaison with auditors.
• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures and documentation.
• Design, implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies.
• Identify opportunities to automate core accounting processes and implement tools/workflows.
• Oversee financial systems (ERP and reporting tools) and ensure data integrity.
• Lead organization wide budgeting and forecasting with department leaders.
• Monitor performance against plan and provide variance analysis and recommendations.
• Identify cost efficiencies, financial risk and opportunities for improvement.

Job description

The role combines hands-on financial control with leadership in business planning, operational analysis and system improvements. The incumbent provides direction to the finance team and collaborates closely with projects and senior management to support organizational growth and sound financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

• Partner with the VP of Finance to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Lead financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, forecasting and long range modeling.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with ASPE, internal policies and external audit requirements.
• Manage all general ledger activities, reconciliations and financial close processes.
• Coordinate annual external audits and act as primary liaison with auditors.
• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures and documentation.

Internal Controls & Governance

• Design, implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies.
• Ensure compliance with approval processes, segregation of duties and governance standards.
• Support continues improvement in financial risk management and reporting integrity.

Process Automation

Identify opportunities to automate core accounting processes (e.g., reconciliations, journal entries, reporting cycles) as well as implement tools and workflows that reduce manual intervention and improve cycle times.

Financial Systems Optimization

Oversee the effective use and continuous improvement of financial systems (ERP, reporting tools, dashboards). Partner with IT and business leaders to enhance system functionality and integration.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis

• Lead organization wide budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with department leaders.
