Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Canada is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee accounting, financial reporting, and the period-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of results.

You will partner with operations, commercial, supply chain and procurement teams to drive financial insights, lead budgeting and forecasting, manage treasury and cash flow, and guide governance and risk management at the senior leadership level.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting, financial reporting, and period-end close activities, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial results.
• Maintain accountability for financial reporting, management reporting, consolidation activities, and external reporting requirements.
• Oversee internal controls, compliance processes, audit coordination, and remediation activities to support a strong governance framework.
• Partner closely with operational, commercial, supply chain, and procurement leaders to support business decision-making through financial insights.
• Provide leadership for financial systems and ERP platforms, ensuring data integrity, effective configurations, and alignment with organizational standards.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes through automation, standardization, and process optimization initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
• Oversee cash management and working capital, including cash flow forecasting, receivables, payables, inventory management, and treasury coordination.
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment between business objectives and financial outcomes.
• Serve as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership, providing guidance on financial performance, risks, and growth opportunities.
