We are currently seeking a Financial Controller to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Financial Control - North America, the successful candidate will be responsible for the financial control activities of our Canadian operations. The main goal is to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting policies, and continuous finance process optimization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

• Manage all accounting functions for Canada.
• Ensure accuracy of G/L and Financial Statements.
• Lead and support tax reporting, internal and external audits.
• Partner with business units to ensure risk controls and compliance with IFRS and company policies.
• Collaborate with HQ and Shared Services on process improvements.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closes.
• Support internal accounting needs across the global organization.
• Lead special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• At least 8 years of experience in Financial Accounting, including 3 years in team leadership.
• Experience in public accounting is preferred.
• Proficiency with SAP, Oracle, Excel, PowerPoint.
