Qualifications

• CPA designation and 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Experience leading month-end close, financial reporting, and controls.
• Experience with ERP implementations or transformations.
• Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead Financial Operations: own monthly and annual close, ensure accuracy of records, prepare statements, manage working capital.
• Strengthen Controls & Reporting: maintain controls, coordinate audits, support board reporting and variance analysis.
• Lead the Finance Team: define roles and accountability, coach and cross-train, ensure business continuity.
• Drive Business Central Adoption: own Finance use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC, validate data, ensure post-go-live stabilization.

League Data is seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to lead our Finance function through a critical period of operational maturity and system transformation. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, team leadership, and the successful operational adoption of Microsoft Business Central.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead Financial Operations

• Own the monthly and annual financial close process.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Prepare financial statements and management reporting.
• Monitor working capital, cash, receivables, and payables.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including billing, AP, AR, and cash management.

Strengthen Controls & Reporting

• Maintain strong financial controls, processes, documentation, and compliance practices.
• Coordinate audit, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Support management and Board reporting with accurate financial results and variance analysis.
• Provide the CFO with timely visibility into financial performance and key accounting matters.

Lead the Finance Team

• Establish clear responsibilities, deadlines, accountability, and operating discipline.
• Develop team capability through coaching, documentation, and cross-training.
• Reduce key-person dependency and improve business continuity across Finance.

Drive Business Central Adoption

• Take ownership of Finance's operational use of Microsoft Business Central.
• Support data validation, testing, readiness, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Ensure Finance processes are effectively embedded within the new ERP environment.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• CPA designation
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Proven success leading financial close, reporting, and controls
• Experience managing accounting operations and finance teams
• Strong technical accounting and compliance expertise
• Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge

Nice to have:

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience
• ERP implementation or transformation experience
• Experience supporting executive and Board-level reporting
