As a key member of the Production team, you will maintain high manufacturing efficiencies while delivering quality products in a safe and clean environment.

Controls Electrician Responsibilities:
  • Respond to manufacturing machinery problems, troubleshoot, diagnose issues, and make repairs or program changes as necessary.
  • Build and wire panels; implement controls for existing equipment and new upgrades.
  • Inspect machinery and electrical equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Service packaging department requirements, including setup, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and related repairs on plant equipment such as transformers, breaker panels, VFDs, control panels, etc.
  • Provide consultation and assistance to packaging staff during changeovers and adjustments.
  • Assist packaging personnel in test running all line components.
  • Facilitate efficient line operation by providing training, consultation, and assistance to packaging staff during line operation.
  • Review ongoing packaging machine downtime and participate in corrective actions.
  • Work collaboratively with packaging staff to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical problems as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Experience with PLC, Allen-Bradley, Omron, Siemens, Studio 5000, RSLogix, FactoryTalk View is an asset.
  • 1-3 years as a certified Electrician preferred, with A or A Certificate; Arc Flash training is an asset.
  • Basic computer, math, and writing skills.
  • Experience with high-speed packaging equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, coders, conveyors, and parts fabrication is an asset. Mechanical aptitude to assist with minor repairs is beneficial.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
