Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in law, business, or commerce is preferred.
• Certification in contract management (e.g., NCCP, CPCM) or corporate governance (e.g., ICSA) is an asset.
• Experience with corporate governance, contract management databases, and MS CRM is preferred.
• Ability to interpret contract terms and clearly explain the implications of provisions.
• Ability to draft and manage commercial contracts with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, and NDAs.
• Review and revise contracts to ensure compliance with risk tolerance and laws.
• Assist internal clients in interpreting contract terms and explain implications.
• Participate in negotiations with customers via video or phone calls.
• Identify and mitigate risks and recommend risk management strategies.
• Advise on the resolution and enforcement of contract-related issues.
• Maintain a contract database and filing system; approve customer P.O.s.
• Provide training and guidance for staff on contract-related issues.
