We seek a Contracts Advisor to join our Calgary team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for proactive professionals eager to contribute to the effective management and optimization of our contract life cycle, supporting operational efficiency and stakeholder collaboration.

In this role, you will be a key contributor to the success of our sales and operations teams, managing operating and supplier contracts throughout their entire life cycle. You will be responsible for contract preparation and maintenance, tracking key milestones, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, communicating updates and changes, coordinating with the legal team and territory managers, and overseeing contract databases.

The successful candidate must be located in Calgary for this role.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Fluency in both French and English (written and verbal) is required.
  • At least three years of contract administration experience, handling various contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to draft, revise, and interpret contracts using clear, concise, and legally sound language.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in reviewing contractual obligations, terms, and conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and the ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract database management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full contract life cycle, including drafting, negotiating, executing, monitoring compliance, and overseeing renewals and terminations.
  • Prepare and maintain new contracts and amendments using standard document templates, ensuring that negotiated agreements are formalized into legally binding contracts.
  • Serve as a contract subject matter expert by providing accurate and timely information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate essential contract details to internal teams to ensure proper system setup and accurate processing of rents and commissions.
  • Track contract milestones, monitor compliance, and ensure timely renewals or modifications as needed.
  • Interpret company policies, procedures, and guidelines to address contract-related issues and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist territory managers with various tasks, including drafting formal demand and request letters, responding to contract history inquiries, and providing training on contract management process changes.

Location and other Key Details:

  • The successful candidate must be located in Calgary for this position.
  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • This role is in the office, hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
