Job summary

Actalent's Calgary office is seeking a Contracts Administrator to support two major transmission line projects and to provide procurement support through service-based RFP development and execution.

The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience managing construction-related service contracts, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to help establish and improve contract administration processes within a growing project environment.

Qualifications

• 10-20 years of contract administration/procurement experience in EPC or General Contractor environments.
• Experience administering service-based contracts in EPC/construction/utilities.
• Contract lifecycle experience from award through closeout.
• Construction-related service contracts and subcontractor experience.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts in a project delivery environment.
• Experience issuing or supporting RFP processes for services.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Experience with MSAs and SOWs or similar frameworks.
• Experience supporting large capital projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must Haves

• Approximately 10‑20 years of relevant contract administration, contracts, procurement, or commercial experience within an EPC or General Contractor environment.
• Experience administering service‑based contracts within EPC, construction, utilities, infrastructure, oil & gas, or industrial project environments.
• Demonstrated experience with contract lifecycle management from award through execution and closeout.
• Experience supporting construction‑related service contracts and subcontractors.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously in a project delivery environment.
• Experience preparing, issuing, or supporting RFP processes for service procurements.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Experience working with Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), or similar commercial frameworks.
• Experience supporting large capital projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Haves

• Transmission line, power delivery, utility, or energy industry experience.
• Experience supporting Indigenous engagement initiatives, Indigenous‑owned contractors, or Indigenous procurement programs.
• Experience supporting reclamation, access clearing, camp services, tower assembly, aviation/helicopter services, or right‑of‑way contracts.
• Experience building or improving commercial processes in developing project environments.
• Experience with contract administration on projects in excess of $50 M in total contract value.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.

Pay And Benefits

• The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $80.00/hr.
• Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
