  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in contract administration, procurement, supply chain or vendor management.
  • Oil and gas industry experience is an asset.
  • Experience coordinating contract renewals and supporting negotiations preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP/contract systems.

Job description

Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a Canadian senior crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We are focused on long-term growth through an active exploration, development, production, and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

Reporting to the Contracts and Procurement Advisor, the Contractor Management Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the full lifecycle of contractor agreements to ensure services are contracted efficiently, compliantly, and in accordance with company policies and business requirements. The role is accountable for preparing and administering contractor agreements, coordinating annual contract renewals and commercial reviews, maintaining contract records, and supporting cross-functional stakeholders throughout the contracting process.

The Contractor Management Coordinator works closely with Operations, Legal, Finance, HSE, and external contractors to ensure contractor agreements are executed in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements. The Coordinator will play a key role in supporting organizational change, educating stakeholders, and delivering a high level of support to contractors and internal business partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the full lifecycle of contractor agreements, including contract preparation, amendments, renewals, extensions, execution, and close-out, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate annual contractor contract renewals, commercial reviews, pricing updates, and negotiated terms while maintaining renewal schedules and supporting cost optimization initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of Tourmaline's centralized consultant management program.
  • Develop and maintain guidance materials, process documentation, FAQs, and training resources.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for contractors regarding agreement questions, requirements, and processes.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, contractor compliance documentation, and corporate entity information, including the review and validation of legal entity documentation, GST registration, insurance certificates, and other required contractor records.
  • Partner with Work Force Management (WFM), Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, HSE, and contractors to coordinate contractor requirements, support workforce planning and onboarding, resolve contract-related issues, and ensure timely execution of agreements.
  • Monitor contract performance metrics, prepare contract status and renewal reports, support internal and external audits, assist in forecasting, and identify opportunities to improve contract management processes and efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in contract administration, procurement, supply chain, or vendor management.
  • Experience managing service contracts in the oil and gas industry is considered an asset.
  • Experience coordinating commercial contract renewals and supporting negotiations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration principles and procurement practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling commercially sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience with ERP and contract management systems ( OpenInvoice, Ariba, D365, OpenContract or similar) is considered an asset.
