Job summary

Town of Oakville is seeking a Supervisor, Works Contracted Services to guide right-of-way maintenance contracts and small capital projects, ensuring work is delivered on scope, schedule and budget.

The role leads a multidisciplinary team, manages procurement, contract administration, and stakeholder engagement with agencies like Metrolinx, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil/Construction tech with CET; BEng/BArch an asset.
• 8+ years in municipal/provincial/private infra construction and contract delivery.
• Experience with right-of-way projects, winter ops and municipal maintenance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of right-of-way contracts and capital projects from planning to completion.
• Ensure budget delivery and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Prepare contracts, scopes, drawings, specs and conditions.
• Oversee procurement, tenders, and contractor evaluations.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to staff.
• Review engineering designs for compliance and functionality.
• Lead roadway patrol and sidewalk inspection programs for standards.
