Job summary

FCA Canada Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineer (Contract) to manage direct/indirect labor, line speed, cycle checks, workstation assignments and line balancing.

The role demands SPW-based waste elimination, time/motion studies and collaboration with the IE Manager and Supervisor to sustain lean manufacturing and appropriate staffing levels. The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and excel in teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Strong understanding of Workplace Organization pillar.
• Knowledge of Cost Deployment and Focused Improvement pillars.
• Ability to work with all levels of management and labour.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in throughput analysis and applying method improvements.
• Identify manpower redeployment opportunities and workstation layout improvements.
• Experience managing projects and timelines through completion.
• Experience managing skilled employees and contractors on installation of projects.
• Ability to create good working relationships with Union personnel.
• Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Ability to work off standard hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Industrial Engineer (Contract) will be responsible for direct/indirect labor and activities affecting line speed, cycle checks, scrolls and workstation assignments, change control and line balancing.
• Utilize SPW concepts to identify/eliminate waste and perform time/motion studies; assist the IE Manager and IE Supervisor with technical services to maintain efficient levels of lean manufacturing and manning.
