Job summary

BrightPath Kids at Queen Campus, ON is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant or Registered Early Childhood Educator. You will work with teachers and families to provide a nurturing home-like setting for children in our care.

Responsibilities include assisting with instruction, protecting children’s well-being, encouraging participation, and collaborating with families. The role requires minimal evenings or weekends and offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School/Equivalent required; Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment as per local requirements.
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.
• 1 year of childcare experience or experience with children with diverse learning/development delays preferred.

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
• Encourage children's participation in activities.
• Collaborate with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Assistant orRegistered Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting RECE's with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
