Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Milverton, ON, is hiring an Early Childhood Assistant to work at two centres (Matheson East and Milverton) with no evenings or weekends. The contract is full-time until December 2026, paying $17.60–$17.97 per hour.

The role supports RECEs and families to create a home-like environment for children in care. Requirements include high school or equivalent; Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred; standard first aid and infant CPR; immunization and health assessments per

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in childcare preferred
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and Infant CPR
• Immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements
• Experience planning and implementing programs

Responsibilities

• Assisting RECE’s with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities: Candidates are accountable for own transportation. This position will be between two locations. Matheson East and Milverton. One centre in the morning and second centre in the afternoon.

Requirements:

• High School/Equivalent required, Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred
