Contract Administrator (Remote/hybrid)

Ontario Seaway Corridor Region

Architecture49 (A49) is seeking a Contract Administrator resident in the Seaway Corridor to join our team on a remote or hybrid basis. Locations include Kingston, Cornwall, Brockville, and Prescott.

Seaway Corridor

Our Seaway Corridor Region is an office with deep ties across eastern Ontario, including communities along the St. Lawrence River. The region features a mix of small towns and growing cities, with expertise in educational projects and expanding into community impact, commercial, and industrial sectors. Our designs blend rural and urban landscapes, focusing on projects that support community prosperity.

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and travel for site visits, attend meetings, oversee site activities, and ensure quality control.
  2. Assist with project progress and site reports.
  3. Support shop drawings, respond to Contractor RFIs, and issue contract changes.
  4. Participate in quality control and constructability reviews of drawings and specifications.
  5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in construction phase of projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building envelopes, codes, and Ontario construction practices.
  • Construction contract administration training or equivalent is an asset.
  • Effective communication skills; French language skills are an asset.
  • Knowledge of BIM, REVIT, AutoCAD, Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, and Adobe Reader is preferred.
