Job description

Argentus is thrilled to be working with one of our top clients in the Energy Industry on an impactful procurement role. This company has a long history as a world leader in development in their industry, and a major provider of solutions across a variety of sectors. Today, they have an immediate need for a Contract Administrator on a 6 month contract. It’s an immediate need for our client, and an excellent progressive role for individuals skilled in contract management within Indirect Procurement, and individuals possessing a valid Canadian security clearance.

This role will work remotely from within Canada, with a mandate to provide contract management support and project management as a primary point of contact for the company’s projects. In this role, the successful candidate will work with internal stakeholders to ensure supplier performance, build strong relationships with suppliers, and generate effective value from contracts with suppliers for the organization. You will develop plans to execute supplier contracts, acting as a primary liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers’ teams by leading kick-off meetings, providing advice to stakeholders about contract execution, and proactively addressing any issues in contract delivery as they arise. You will work to control changes to the suppliers’ work plans, ensuring that any changes are identified early, evaluated for risk, negotiated, approved, and documented within the company’s contract management system. Using exceptional attention to detail, you will ensure that contract deliverables are met by maintaining excellent documentation, developing scorecards and reports for leadership in the business to gain insights about supplier performance and project execution.

This is an excellent role for a mid-career procurement professional with the following attributes : -Skilled in contract management, project management, and supplier relationship management, especially within indirect categories, specifically construction project management.

• Candidates should also possess a valid Canadian security clearance.
• A legal background and strong understanding of contracting is an asset for this role.
