Job summary

Finlink Group in Markham, Ontario, is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate for a 3- to 6-month on-site contract. The role focuses on accurate processing of invoices, vendor account maintenance, and supporting month-end close.

You will liaise with internal teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies and improve processes. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in accounts payable, strong Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP), and familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience.
• Solid understanding of 2-way and 3-way matching principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables and VLOOKUP).
• Strong numerical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with SAP Accounts Payable is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and within timelines using legacy systems and SAP ERP.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor records in line with audit requirements.
• Monitor invoice workflows and follow up on outstanding items and approvals.
• Respond to vendor inquiries professionally.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance and Operations for timely payment processing.
• Support monthly and year-end closing with reports and aging analyses.
• Assist with audits by providing documentation.
