Alberta Infrastructure designs, builds, manages, and maintains government-owned and operated facilities, and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that schools, hospitals, and government facilities infrastructure meet the needs of Alberta’s population. The Ministry also provides accommodation services and manages a large portfolio of owned and leased facilities while maintaining fiscal accountability and optimizing value for Albertans.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business areas to identify, analyze, and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, KPIs, and data visualization tools to support decision-making.
- Design and implement technical solutions using Microsoft 365 tools, including Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Excel.
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects, managing scope, timelines, stakeholders, risks, and deliverables.
- Facilitate workshops, gather business requirements, and recommend sustainable business solutions.
- Support change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, training, and adoption of new processes.
- Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancement of reporting and process improvement solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver innovative solutions and improve business performance.
- Research emerging technologies and best practices to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
University graduation in a related field such as Business Administration, Social Sciences, Operations Management, Economics, or related field. plus 2 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Process Improvement Expertise: Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, Lean Six Sigma principles, and business process mapping techniques to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel and SharePoint, with experience developing reports, dashboards, and workflow solutions. Experience with Power BI, Adobe, Minitab, or similar analytical tools is considered an asset.
- Project Management: Understanding of project management principles and practices, including planning, scheduling, stakeholder management, and project delivery.
- Training and Facilitation: Experience developing, delivering, and maintaining training materials and facilitating workshops for diverse stakeholder groups.
- Analytical and Problem‑Solving Skills: Strong ability to collect and analyze data, identify root causes, develop practical solutions, and support informed decision‑making.
- Business Acumen: Ability to understand business requirements, assess operational challenges, and recommend sustainable solutions that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer service.
