VON Canada is seeking a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) to deliver person-centred home care across Richmond County. You will travel between clients' homes, implementing and adapting care plans to maintain comfort and independence.

Candidates should hold a CCA certification, with PSW/HSW or equivalent considered. RPL program funding is available, and a comprehensive benefits package accompanies this role.

Qualifications

• CCA certification required for the role.
• PSW/HSW or equivalent certification may be considered.
• Eligible for Nova Scotia CCA Recognizing Prior Learning (RPL) program.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to clients in their homes.
• Help develop and follow the client's care plan.
• Assist with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing.
• Aid mobility and transfers for safety and comfort.
• Plan meals and perform light housekeeping.
• Offer respite care to families and monitor home safety.
