Job summary

ParaMed is hiring Continuing Care Assistants in Training (CCAITs) for immediate starts in Kentville/Windsor, Bridgewater/Lunenburg, and Middle Musquodoboit areas of Nova Scotia. You will travel between client homes providing personal care, meals support, and daily living assistance with compassion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in providing personal care.
• Plan to successfully complete CCA exam in 4 months.
• Nursing background or extensive PSW experience will be considered.
• Experience with elderly populations is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is strongly preferred as travel to patient residences is required.
• Ability to effectively communicate both through oral and written mediums.
• Able to provide a current criminal check with VPS if selected.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion, tact and diplomacy when interacting with residents/patients and their families.

Your Day-to-Day

What You Need
