Your role

We are seeking a passionate ESL content writer for the Mauril project, aimed at creating engaging language learning exercises linked to CBC/Radio-Canada content. You will contribute to developing innovative, culturally diverse audio and video content to aid learners in achieving Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) proficiency.

This position offers a vibrant, team-oriented environment and reports to the Educational Technology Specialist.

Please note:

  • 12-month contract, with potential extension
  • Based in Montreal

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing audio/video content and categorizing it according to CLB standards
  • Selecting clips to create language exercises for various levels
  • Identifying key vocabulary, preparing background materials, and drafting multiple-choice questions
  • Participating in discussions on user experience at different development stages

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, second language teaching, or related field
  • Knowledge of language proficiency standards (Canadian Language Benchmarks is an asset)
  • Experience assessing second-language learners' needs
  • Experience creating content for e-learning platforms is an asset
  • Fluent in both English and French, spoken and written
