We offer English as a Second Language (ESL), English Language Arts (ELA), Math & Science and admissions support in the Montreal area to Chinese communities. Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemistry tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in instructing Chemistry to secondary and CEGEP students in Montreal. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to instruct effectively, and a proactive approach. Familiarity with the CEGEP system and content is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lessons on Chemistry subjects based on resources provided.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs of each student.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and collaboration.
• Provide academic support and feedback to students regarding their progress.
• Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities related to physics or chemistry.
• Assist with all other duties related to tutoring.

Requirements

• A background in Chemistry, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience in teaching or tutoring at the middle school, high school, or college level.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
• Speaking French or Mandarin is an asset.
• English is mandatory.

Hours: 8 - 15 hours weekly (part-time contract)

Location: in-person in Montreal (H3T 2S2)

Salary: Starting at $32 per hour
