Job description

Content Producer

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity aims to inspire everyone who attends our campus – artists, leaders, and thinkers – to unleash their creative potential.

We acknowledge, with deep respect and gratitude, our home on the side of Sacred Buffalo Guardian Mountain. In the spirit of respect and truth, we honour and acknowledge the Banff area, known as “Minhrpa” (translated in Stoney Nakoda as “the waterfalls”) and the Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Îyârhe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda) – comprised of the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney Band – as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Blackfoot Confederacy comprised of the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Shuswap Nations, Ktunaxa Nations, and Metis Nation of Alberta, District 4. We acknowledge all Nations who live, work, and play, help us steward this land, and honour and celebrate this place.

The Opportunity

The Content Producer plays a key role in the development and delivery of leading-edge content creation and production. They will be the videographer and editor for many of the team’s projects year-round, across all business areas on campus. The work ranges from capturing cinema-grade video on and off campus for interviews, b-roll, collaborating with photographers, performances, atmospheric, and documentary-level participant footage to editing your own material, along with archival and motion graphics.
Along with video projects, the producer will contribute to audio-first pieces like podcasts. They will manage audio selection and editing for video projects and may write copy and text for content pieces. This role will support content plans across marketing and communications, along with supporting the ongoing improvement of digital media and social media efforts. The content plans also include video that is distributed across a wide range of outlets, from standard digital media and YouTube to in-theatre experiences, out of home video, and video placed across campus. Whether it’s audio or video, the producer is a writer and storyteller at heart.

Writing:
