Marketing Specialist- CRM & Web

The Opportunity
The CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and Web Marketing Specialist is Banff Centre’s specialist in planning and executing intelligent audience experience journeys across email and the website. Banff Centre is undergoing a transformation in the way our systems and data work together, and this position supports in the goals of sophisticated communications and offerings. The CRM & Web Marketing Specialist unifies data, develops and implements email marketing campaigns, develops .com plans, and supports ongoing analytics efforts through CRM expertise. This role will support optimizing the web experience across departments, including for program recruitment and participants, fundraising and donors, conferences, hotels, hospitality, and ticket buyers. The work ranges from website content updates and management to driving web projects, and execution of content campaigns on banffcentre.ca. The work ranges from content management to working with our internal developer partners in prioritizing and managing .com development.
Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, below are some key accountabilities:
Website
- Support content updates to the site, ranging from page creation, updating sections of the site to be timely and relevant
- Conversion rate optimization: implement changes to improve conversion ranging from email sign up, hospitality, conferences, fundraising, event ticket purchases, and program applications
- Support ecommerce store, including communicating with multiple departments for product distribution
- Participate in committee work and project work as needed, with a focus on change management for digital platforms
CRM
- Partner with vendors on optimizing usage of the CRM platform across teams
- Contribute to CRM onboarding plan, setup and execution
- Play a key role in communicating across teams the importance of utilizing the CRM platform
- Support the execution of email campaigns across Banff Centre teams to ensure any outbound email campaign could utilize the CRM platform
Operations
- Analytics - Utilizing CRM and campaign channel data, collaborate on the development of a segmentation plan, maintain segment data, support the execution of segmented campaigns, and enhance reporting with this audience data
- Maintain regular email and multi-channel reporting, and enhance ongoing campaigns with deeper analysis
- This position has extensive internal and external contact including graphic designers, photographers, advertising representatives, staff, faculty, and administration. Contacts extend across Canada and around the world.
- This position requires tact, discretion and exceptional service delivery.
- This role is empowered to make decisions and direct others across campus on matters related to email optimization and website content.
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- 3 or more years of related CRM / email / automation marketing, including hands-on day-to-day execution of email campaigns.
- Experience in project managing and delivery of desktop and mobile web projects, including coordinating with multiple departments and content creators
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or related experience
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and projects
- A self-starter with the ability to work under broad direction without close supervision
- A fundamental ability to manage content production workflows for website content teams
- Experience or understanding of using Looker or Funnel.io for web and email performance
- Experience with platforms like Drupal, Mailchimp, Wordfly, Project 2, Salesforce, Tessitura, Audience View is an asset.
- Experience with the arts organizations, or a post-secondary institution is an asset.
Employment Terms & Benefit
- In accordance with CUPE 4318, this is a unionized,salariedsupport staff position, subject to a6 monthprobation period.
- The annual salary for this position is isbetween $56,388 - $59,196, depending on experience, based on working 40hours per week.
