Job description

Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada, is looking to hire a Content Designer for an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion. The role is hybrid, requiring 2 days in the Toronto office. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in crafting engaging and effective content for various digital channels.

Responsibilities :

1. Work as an integral part of a project team comprising product managers, visual designers, user experience designers, QA testers, developers, and project managers.
2. Participate actively in regular project team meetings and reviews to contribute insights and collaborate effectively.
3. Strategically plan content by working with content designers from other Investor's Edge projects.
4. Collaborate closely with visual and UX designers to determine optimal copy placement within designed pages.

Must-Have Requirements :

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Content Designer specializing in Content/conversational design or UX writing.
2. Demonstrated expertise in content strategy and execution, particularly in UX writing roles.
3. Proven stakeholder management skills, including experience working with product owners and vendors.
4. Some experience in writing for digital platforms, with a portfolio showcasing relevant samples.
5. Proficiency in MS Office suite.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

1. Experience working in an agile environment, facilitating seamless collaboration and iterative development.
2. Knowledge of software / website development processes and terminology.
3. Familiarity with financial services, preferably with brokerage or investment knowledge.
4. Hands-on experience with tools such as Figma, Jira, and Confluence.
