Job summary

A Few Good Lads is seeking a motivated individual to start a career as an Iron Worker / Rebar Worker. Training will be provided to the right candidate and you will learn to safely install reinforcing steel on construction sites across Victoria, Vancouver Island, BC.

You will work with experienced tradespeople, gain hands-on skills, and develop a long-term career in construction. Some prior construction experience is required, CSTS 2020 certification preferred, and you must be willing to learn,

Qualifications

• Some previous construction experience required.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual; able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced ironworkers and rebar workers with daily tasks.
• Help place, tie, and install reinforcing steel and rebar.
• Measure, cut, bend, and position rebar as directed.
• Use basic hand and power tools.
• Move and organize materials around the job site.
• Follow drawings, measurements and instructions from experienced workers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Learn proper tools, techniques, and procedures for rebar installation.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Participate in training and develop skills within the trade.
• Perform other general construction duties as required.

About the Role

Some previous construction experience is required, but you do not need to have previous rebar or ironworking experience. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

You will work alongside experienced ironworkers and rebar workers, learning how to safely install and place reinforcing steel on construction sites throughout Victoria, Vancouver Island, BC
