Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced ironworkers and rebar workers with daily tasks.
  • Help place, tie, and install reinforcing steel and rebar.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and position rebar as directed.
  • Use basic hand and power tools.
  • Move and organize materials around the site.
  • Follow drawings and instructions from experienced workers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Learn proper tools, techniques, and procedures for rebar installation.
  • Follow health and safety procedures.
  • Participate in training and develop skills in the trade.
  • Perform other general construction duties as required.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated individual who is interested in building a career as an Iron Worker / Rebar Worker.

Some previous construction experience is required, but you do not need to have previous rebar or ironworking experience. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

You will work alongside experienced ironworkers and rebar workers, learning how to safely install and place reinforcing steel on construction sites throughout Victoria, Vancouver Island, BC

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn a skilled trade, and is looking for a long-term career in construction.

  • Perform other general construction duties as required
