Consumables Associate – Customer Service & Merchandising

Job summary

Walmart Canada is hiring a Consumables Associate to support stock flow from backroom to salesfloor and assist customers in a busy retail environment.

You will work as part of a team, stocking designated sections and ensuring safe, clean store operations while providing excellent customer service. Minimum age 16, starting pay at CAD 18.75 per hour, with accommodations available as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail is helpful.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English (French is a plus).
• Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Offer excellent customer service by greeting customers politely and promoting products and services.
• Cover one or more designated zones in the sales floor area.
• Perform zone auditing and product zoning.
• Move featured items to the main display module.
• Restock merchandise at customer service and other areas of the store.
• Assist with cashier area coverage.
• Coordinate with teammates to ensure cashier area coverage.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, obstacle-free work environment by following company guidelines and completing safety logs.
• Stock and destock merchandise, install security devices and set up modules and display shelves.
