This role is a Quantity Surveyor/Consultant, focused on developing cost estimates and leading value engineering across major projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cost estimating across all project phases.
• University degree in Engineering/Construction Management or equivalent.
• Membership in CIQS/RICS is a bonus.
• Proficiency with cost estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of cost estimates from concept through execution.
• Analyse tender returns to ensure value for money.

Who are you?

You are an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Consultant with 5+ years' experience, seeking your next step or are currently working in a similar role within a comparable environment. You’re motivated to join a growing and dynamic team.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, driven, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. In this impactful role, you will be providing leadership and direction, actively embedding and promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend.

Job Description

As a Quantity Surveyor/Consultant you will be involved in:

• Manage the development of cost estimates for projects from concept through execution
• Analyse tender returns to ensure the client receives value for money
• Engage in value engineering discussions to identify the best solution available for the client
• Provide input on contract commercial matters
• Benchmark for validation and target-setting on major projects
• Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
• Work in project teams to ensure the clients goals are managed and achieved

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cost estimating positions across all project phases
• A recognized university degree (or equivalent) in Engineering/Construction Management or a relevant subject
• Membership in relevant professional organizations is a bonus (CIQS/RICS)
• Knowledge and proficiency with cost estimating tools
