Job summary

OneOcean Group is seeking a Consultant (Fleet Management) in Montreal to join our Professional Services team. You will deliver consulting services for fleet solutions, act as SME for TM Master, and lead implementation with clients across global locations.

The role requires strong data and SQL capabilities, experience with cloud technologies, and excellent communication in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Travel to client sites will be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with databases (on-premises and cloud) and SQL design.
  • Ability to model data and cleanse data to support analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver consulting services focusing on service delivery excellence and process optimization.
  • Act as SME for the TM Master product and guide customers.
  • Lead or support implementation: setup, configuration and user training.
  • Run workshops and training sessions for end users across global locations.
  • Coordinate delivery with Support, PMO and Development teams to resolve issues.
  • Handle complex technical or functional problems during implementation.
  • Identify improvements and recommend system or process changes to increase efficiency.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and projects to client deadlines.
  • Stay updated with product changes and industry trends for personal growth.

Navigating the position: Consultant (Fleet Management) We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Professional Services Team as a Consulting Specialist focused on Fleet Solutions (TM Master). This role is ideal for someone with a background in technical support or service delivery, who is confident handling complex issues, driving process improvements, and delivering high-impact results. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver consulting services to clients, focusing on service delivery excellence and process optimization.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for the TM Master product, offering guidance and support to customers.
  • Lead or support implementation processes, including setup, configuration, and user training.
  • Run engaging workshops and training sessions to onboard and empower end users across global locations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Support, PMO, Development) to coordinate delivery and resolve issues.
  • Handle complex technical or functional problems during implementation with professionalism and urgency.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and recommend system or process changes to increase efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and structured completion of all assigned tasks and projects.
  • Stay current with product updates and industry trends to support ongoing personal and professional development.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Experience working with databases on-premises and/or cloud-based environments such as MSSQL, SQL Azure MySQL etc. Microsoft Accredited or Industry recognized qualification for Microsoft SQL server will be preferred.
  • Good understanding on how data management, cleansing and query optimisation influences pipeline and data model design.
  • Experience using cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrably strong problem-solving skills to help design and implement solutions to data problems. Highly numerate and logical.
  • Understand and create Excel scripts for database mass updates.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and present outputs to stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in fast paced environments to strict deadlines.
  • Team player and can communicate effectively to technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • The ability to manage time, prioritise tasks, self-review your work and produce deliverables of a high quality under tight client deadlines in time pressured environments.
  • Able to travel and meet with the customers for implementation and training.
Nice to have
  • Experience of using project tracking and reporting system Monday, Zendesk.
  • Good command of the English language written and oral.
  • Maritime sector experience.
  • Good understanding of networking and mail protocols.
  • Experience in software training delivery.
