Job summary

KPMG Canada is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant to join its Calgary team. The role supports clients' cybersecurity transformation through advisory, service delivery, and hands-on technical work across multiple industries.

You will contribute to engagements from requirements gathering to design and implementation, address security challenges in cloud and on-premises environments, and collaborate with senior experts to deliver practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of experience identifying and managing technology risks and implementing mitigation plans.
• Experience defining or implementing security controls across OS, firewall, networks, databases, and applications.
• Familiar with cloud security tools and services (Azure, AWS, ServiceNow, Google Cloud) and security tech (EDR, MFA, IDS/IPS, DLP, IAM).
• Familiarity with standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS, CSA; knowledge of OSI model.
• Ability to lead cybersecurity projects, meet deadlines, manage stakeholders.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK are assets.
