Job summary

MNP is seeking a Farm Management Consulting Consultant in Canada. You will work with a team of financial and agricultural professionals to collect farm business data and assist with delivering engagements for agriculture and agribusiness clients.

Role involves developing client relationships, planning information collection, and delivering high-quality proposals and reports. Travel flexibility is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in agriculture.
• Experience in agriculture environment preferred.
• Experience in consulting or professional services is an asset.
• Ability to interview clients to collect business information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of consulting engagements in agriculture and agribusiness.
• Develop positive working relationships with clients.
• Plan and collect financial and other business information from clients.
• Coordinate project logistics and develop project plans.
• Produce high-quality deliverables: proposals, letters, reports, presentations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of consulting engagements focused on agriculture, agribusiness and other related industry bodies and associations with a dynamic team of financial and agricultural professionals
• Work directly with clients to develop positive working relationships
• Plan and collect financial and other business information through interaction with clients and analysis of their reports and other information
• Assist with the development of project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
• Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop
• Design and develop high-quality deliverables including proposals, engagement letters, reports, presentations and other correspondence
• Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
• Work collaboratively with the client engagement team
• Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills And Experience

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in agriculture
• Experience working in an agriculture environment is preferred
• Working knowledge of farm enterprises, primary producer and/or agri-business is preferred
• Experience working in a consulting and/or professional services environment is considered an asset
• Ability to work without supervision and interview clients to collect business information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
