Job summary

MNP's Farm Management Consulting team is seeking a Consultant to help clients collect financial and production information about their farm businesses, enabling informed decision-making.

You will work with a diverse team delivering engagements in agriculture and agribusiness, building positive client relationships and contributing to proposals and project plans.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in agriculture.
• Experience working in an agriculture environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of farm enterprises or agribusiness preferred.
• Experience in consulting or professional services is an asset.
• Ability to interview clients and collect business information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of consulting engagements focused on agriculture, agribusiness and related bodies with a dynamic team of professionals.
• Work directly with clients to develop positive working relationships.
• Plan and collect financial and other business information through client interaction and analysis.
• Assist with developing project plans and coordinate logistics with clients and stakeholders.
• Identify ways to deliver added value to clients and grow relationships.
• Design and develop high-quality deliverables including proposals, letters, reports and presentations.
• Participate in business development and competitive proposals.
• Collaborate with the client engagement team.
• Travel flexibility as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of consulting engagements focused on agriculture, agribusiness and other related industry bodies and associations with a dynamic team of financial and agricultural professionals
• Work directly with clients to develop positive working relationships
• Plan and collect financial and other business information through interaction with clients and analysis of their reports and other information
• Assist with the development of project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
• Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop
• Design and develop high-quality deliverables including proposals, engagement letters, reports, presentations and other correspondence
• Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
• Work collaboratively with the client engagement team
• Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills And Experience

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in agriculture
• Experience working in an agriculture environment is preferred
• Working knowledge of farm enterprises, primary producer and/or agri-business is preferred
• Experience working in a consulting and/or professional services environment is considered an asset
• Ability to work without supervision and interview clients to collect business information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

The annual salary range for this position is: $60,000 - $90,000
