As a Construction Technician, you will :

• Help to support the Construction Team deliver the construction of assigned homes from framing through to completion. It involves contributing to an exceptional customer experience and deliver on schedule, while upholding Minto’s core values;
• Identify deficiencies, assess, and complete repairs in a timely manner;
• Seek opportunities to assist our home owners in order to provide an exceptional customer experience;
• Present themselves in a professional and customer focused manner in all interactions with homeowners;
• Review, assess and report any issues on safety to Health & Safety Rep or direct supervisor, includes ensuring protective gear used / worn
• Complete repair lists resulting from quality control MPDI and PDO inspections;
• Report defects and damages to Foreman if applicable;
• Conductinterior repairs on windows, doors, frames, baseboards, floors;
• Conductcarpentry finishing, as required;
• Conduct repairs on insulation and drywall, as required;
• Prepare the house for inspections including City and customer;
• Ensure the complete cleanup of the home inside and out;
• Conduct repairs on insulation and drywall, as required.

We would like you to have :

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience(We will provide you with on-the-job training);
• A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required;
• General knowledge of residential construction repairs;
• An eye for detail and someone who takes direction well;
• A liking for great customer service and helping out your fellow co-workers;
• Confidence in working alone; a team mate who can be depended on.
