We are opening three roles in Vernon BC:

1. Construction Officer - Electrical (substation)
2. Construction Officer - Power Line Technician
3. Construction Officer - Site Safety / Site Safety Coordination

Contract Duration: 12 months, with a likely extension

Pay: $60-70ph INC - $49-57ph T4

1. Construction Officer - Electrical (substation)

The Construction Officer acts as a construction site coordinator and inspector for multiple or large civil, electrical, and/or mechanical projects. The role ensures that work, materials, progress, and costs meet client expectations.

Responsibilities include:

• Inspect construction work on substations, transmission lines, and hydroelectric equipment, utilizing excellent inspection skills and understanding of construction methods to meet deadlines and comply with building and safety codes.
• Prioritize work site safety by performing Safe Work Observations and applying knowledge of safety standards and regulations to enhance client safety performance.
• Conduct or coordinate site testing, surveying, and estimating activities, leveraging a good understanding of engineering drawings to facilitate project progression.

Potential working conditions include adverse weather, working at heights, or underground environments.

2. Construction Officer - Power Line Technician

Similar to the Electrical role, this position involves inspecting construction work on substations, transmission lines, and hydroelectric equipment, with an emphasis on safety, inspection, and project coordination under similar conditions.

3. Construction Officer - Site Safety / Site Safety Coordination

This role focuses on ensuring work site safety, conducting safety observations, and coordinating safety activities. It also involves site testing, surveying, and estimating, with potential work in adverse weather, heights, or underground settings.
