Job summary

ARISTA is seeking a full-time Site Superintendent in Vaughan with 5+ years of experience on high-volume low-rise projects including single detached and townhomes. You will oversee daily site operations, coordinate trades, and ensure schedules align with closing dates.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will enforce Ontario codes and Arista quality standards while delivering a premium homeowner experience through rigorous safety practices and collaborative problem solving.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in low-rise residential construction
• Knowledge of OHSA, Ontario Building Code, and Tarion/HCRA requirements
• Ability to read architectural/structural/grading drawings
• Strong problem-solving for on-site challenges
• Natural leader with cross-discipline collaboration
• Current safety certifications or willingness to obtain

The “A” Team is currently seeking a full-time Site Superintendent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing high-volume low-rise construction projects, including single detached, semi-detached, and Townhouses (Traditional, Rear-Lane, Back-to-back, etc.). Qualified candidates must be able to maintain a fast-paced production schedules while prioritizing the Arista quality build standards across all trade disciplines. This individual must be a team player and have strong leadership and trade relationship management skills. As a key member of the Construction department, the successful candidate will report directly to the Construction Manager on all matters relating to site operations, production scheduling, quality, and homeowner closings. You will be a key point of contact for trade contractors, ensuring efficient coordination, code compliance, and a quality homeowner experience throughout the construction lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities

• Run daily site operations and maintain the production schedule, ensuring that material orders, inspections, and sign-offs are aligned relative to closing dates.
• Lead your site team, which may include finish super, QC inspector, site admin, and labourers
• Coordinate and inspect the work of trades, enforcing scopes across the full build cycle, from excavation to final grading.
• Regularly reporting on completion dates and deficiencies in NewStar / BuilderGo software.
• Champion a collaborative and safety-first site, leading regular toolbox talks and coordination meetings with trade foreman.
• Enforce Ontario Building Code and the Arista quality standards on every unit.
• Experience building EnergyStar Certified homes, with a willingness to build Discovery homes and learn new construction practices.
• Deliver a superior purchaser experience through frame walks, PDIs, and the Tarion warranty process, working collaboratively with QC and Homecare teams to deliver a premium product.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5+ years in low-rise residential construction, including site supervision
• Strong working knowledge of the OHSA, Ontario Building Code, and Tarion/HCRA warranty requirements
• Ability to read, identify issues and construct based off of architectural, structural, and grading drawings.
• Strong ability to resolve on-site challenges in construction and conflicts between personnel
• A natural leader who builds collaboration across disciplines and communicates well with trades, staff, and homeowners alike
• Current safety certifications (Working at Heights, WHMIS, Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness) or willingness to obtain
