Job summary

Aecon Concessions is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join the Scarborough Transit Connect project in Scarborough, ON. You will assist in daily site operations, supervise subcontractors, and help plan work schedules to meet budget and timeline.

The role requires 3–5 years in construction supervision, knowledge of OH&S, and strong leadership. Proficiency with MS Office and scheduling tools is expected; a valid driver’s license and flexibility for project hours are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory position in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code and construction sequencing.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and OH&S requirements.
• Experience with subcontractor management and field coordination.
• Proficient in MS Office and construction scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
• Plan and supervise work of subcontractors and own forces; determine methods, manpower, quantities, and schedules.
• Ensure productivity, material efficiency, and contractual performance of the project.
• Maintain project quality per drawings, specs, schedule and budget.
• Interface with clients, designers, and other contractors; ensure safety plans.
• Lead and participate in weekly subcontractor and safety meetings.
