Canad Inns in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a motivated Banquet Supervisor to join our team. Under the Banquet Manager and Event Manager, you will coordinate meetings, conventions, catering, and special events, ensuring all client requests and event sheet details are met.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and other operationally required shifts.

  • Strong leadership, team-building, and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, courteous, and customer-focused approach when interacting with guests and the public.
  • Proven ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of audio and video technology and equipment is considered an asset.
  • Maintains a professional appearance with strong personal hygiene and grooming standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that all details and services for meetings, conventions, catering, and events are completed and executed based on client requests.
  • Assisting in ensuring that all staff are properly trained and equipped to effectively carry out their jobs.
  • Supervising the day-to-day activities of banquet staff, communicating objectives, and assisting with scheduling and work assignments.
  • Analyzing banquet event orders and effectively communicating with customers, managers, and employees to ensure that all room setups, equipment, supplies, staffing, and menus meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Assisting the Banquet/Event Manager in overseeing event execution and service standards.
  • Performing all other duties as required.
