An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Construction Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment at project sites. This role involves implementing safety plans, conducting inspections, and providing technical support to ensure compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment. Join a team that values mutual respect and safety, and contribute to a culture of shared responsibility and proactive problem-solving. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on site safety and health initiatives.
The CSO, reporting to the HSE Manager, will serve as the primary safety support for an assigned project site, collaborating closely with site project team members and sub-contractors. Additional support for other projects may be required.
The CSO's main responsibility is to implement and oversee the site-specific safety plan, ensuring compliance with the Kindred Health and Safety program, reporting concerns and taking corrective actions when necessary. The role also involves providing both technical and administrative safety support, including guidance on employee safety, work methods, regulations, training, and overall site safety.
Additionally, the CSO will play a key role in planning, organizing, and implementing health and safety initiatives (emergency response drills, safety meetings, toolbox talks) to reinforce the organization’s overall safety program. We are currently hiring for Vancouver, North Vancouver, and Squamish.
