Job Description
BGIS is seeking a M&E Construction Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of Mechanical & Electrical Retrofit Projects, ensuring successful completion on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee the delivery of M&E related projects.
- Define, monitor, and report project scope, deliverables, and requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and implement project plans for M&E aspects.
- Determine resource needs, budgets, estimates, and timelines.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct construction progress reviews and report delays.
- Oversee project team activities and monitor task completion.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Supervise project site activities, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships.
- Resolve issues, manage expectations, and ensure client satisfaction.
Knowledge & Skills
- 3-5 years of project engineering experience in mechanical or electrical building services.
- Experience in construction or similar fields.
- Proven project management skills—delivering projects on time, within scope and budget, and complying with all standards.
- Experience managing budgets and risks.
- Knowledge of provincial building codes, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
Licenses and Professional Accreditation
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Assets include: P.Eng. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, PMI Accreditation, LEED certification, or Engineer in Training status.
